Grafx Design of Tampa Celebrates 20 Years of Business Success
Leads Two Decades of Design and Technology Trends

On April 1, 2011, Grafx Design of Tampa celebrated 20 years in business. For two decades, Grafx has built its successful reputation on creative design, emerging technologies, and insightful business strategies used to create measurable results for clients.

Over the last 20 years, the Grafx team has remained at the forefront of design trends and marketing tactics, while quickly adopting new technologies to fuel their clients’ creative.

“When we first opened our doors, direct mail was considered high-tech marketing. At that time, requests for interactive websites, mobile apps and social media were virtually unheard of and much less anticipated than the prominent role that these digital solutions now play in today’s marketing campaigns,” said Kathy Stack Vice President, CFO, who founded Grafx in April of 1991 with partner Spyro Marousis, President Sr. Creative Director.

“For us, the key has always been to quickly identify the branding and business opportunities that emerging technologies provide and then pair these innovations with the fundamentals of great design and excellent client service,” said Stack.

In 1994, Grafx moved its headquarters to the heart of Centro Ybor occupying a 4,000 sq. ft., loft-style office. In 2010, the Tampa Bay Business Journal named Grafx as one of Tampa’s Best Places to Work and listed Grafx as one of the “coolest offices” in Tampa Bay.

The agency’s early success came from projects with Busch Gardens and CertainTeed (formally Celotex Corp.); these clients presently remain with Grafx. Today, Grafx client  roster includes national and international companies in the entertainment, financial and pharmaceutical industries such as: FIS, Certegy, Sypris Electronics, SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment, and Medieval Times. Grafx also provides creative solutions for Tampa nonprofit organizations including: The Heart Gallery of Tampa Bay, The Shelton Quarles IMPACT Foundation, and Chi Chi Rodriguez Youth Foundation.

“At today’s 24-7 pace, innovations in design and technology are constantly evolving and changing,” said Marousis. “What hasn’t changed is the importance of our client relationships. That’s what we’ve built our business on for the first 20 years, and that’s what will keep us in business for the next 20.”
